During my research on Vancouver burgers, I found that some people liked the burger here, so I had to try it out. I had the Hamilton Street Burger, which is described as: House-ground Certified Angus Beef, bacon, Aged white cheddar, chipotle mayo. The burger was not presented as shown; it was closed with the lettuce, tomato and onions on the side. I guess they wanted to hide the disgusting mess of a bun, with all the butter and big clump of the mayo (which didn’t do much for flavour). The onions were dry, like they had been cut a day before and the tomato was kind of small. The flame-grilled burger patty was alright; however, a smidge burnt. I had asked for fresh avocado on the burger, for which the server said it should be no problem; I guess they forgot about that !! As I chomped into the burger, the taste was alright, but soon I found myself looking for the ketchup for some flavour. The bottom bun started to fall apart, which doesn’t happen too much. Overall, I was not impressed at all and will definitely stay away from this place.
